The members of SLPS meet under sacred roof and firm carpet to celebrate and honor the Celtic Goddess Brigid for Imbolc, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 8pm. The altar was adorned with seasonal decorations and flowers, and special poetry place before the goddess the members wrote for the occasion.

Songs were sung of the goodness of Brigid and Imbolc. She spoke to the members, and they honored her with their words before toasting with red wine. Lugh, the Celtic sun God was honored for his return, the return of the light at Imbolc, when the sun starts it zenith in the sky in the coming seasons.

The feast afterward included mustard fried pork chops, potatoes au gratin, and stir fried zucchini.

SLPS enjoys doing free tarot for students, and the organization had such an opportunity at the Spring 2016 Plazafest at the University of Utah! The event was held in the Student Union Ballroom from 10-2pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the University of Utah.

Many students stopped by for reading at the lunch hour. Daniel Cureton used his Deviant Moon tarot and April Love used her Robin Wood deck. A few students even changed their minds after readings, saying they believed it was Satanic/demonic, but afterwards were made aware how accurate, how simple, and how demon free it is! SLPS hope all those who had readings have a great semester!

The members of SLPS met under the shadow of the new moon Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 8pm to honor the Moon Goddess and work powerful magical rites by the new moon. Bast was the deity of choice, lending her feline youthful energy to the circle. The members honored her with a traditional OCCAM(Orange County Circle of Ancient Magic) call “Meeeooooww, Basssssssst!” Krishna was also welcome and present.

Some spell workings were done, and a meditation by the fire with the song Pax Deorum by Enya helped the trance work.
